Has anyone been to this? I apologize if it's already been addressed, I do try and keep up with the community but haven't been online as much lately.

I know there are no pictures allowed, but if anyone's been there and can let me know what the Irish Quiditch Team's logo is (the left breast of the robe) I would be grateful! I've been trying to figure it out since the movie came out and I have one picture, but it's not high res and it's from the side so other than the colors...I have no clue what it is!

And does anyone know where the exhibit will be traveling to next? I can't find any info online...

Me and my best friend Alex both went to the midnight release in costume. We didnt get to take pictures at the theater because we were a tad bit late but once we got home we went to the local playground and took some pictures of our costumes.

This is the first year I -haven't- gone to see the HP movie with all of my friends (I'm overseas at the moment)... so no big to-do about dressing up or even seeing it on opening day/night. Oh well! It was still a good time - though 2007 was much more memorable with the 5th movie and the 7th book out. As I feel like reminiscing about the 'good old days' ;-P here are some photos from the Deathly Hallows book release under the cut (my twin and I as - you guessed it - Fred and George!) And is it just me, or was there was not nearly enough of the Weasley twins in this movie?

Ok, so house hunting today since I have to MOVE again.

I find an apartment. They have a 3 bedroom. Small, but livable (my existing couch is bigger than the living room). The deposit is only $100 and rent is about $1600/month. So I try to nab it, and they say they wont have one available until 8/24. THE DAY MY LANDLORD HAS TO BE BACK IN HERE!

ugh.

Not to mention that is the last day of the Gathering.

So now I have to move, put all my stuff in storage and sleep on people's couches until after the convention. DO NOT NEED THIS STRESS!!

Gang, I'll be pulling out all the favors I can muster to make this happen and keep my sanity. OY!

Haha oops. Things have been kind of crazy in real life lately, and what time I have spent on the computer has mostly been spent looking at fan art and canon art for various series, making icons for LIMS competitions, writing rpg apps for thecityrpg & gargleblasted, and messing about on poupée & gaia.

I've started a replay of the Ace Attorney games, since my first playthrough was all out of order. Which means the list of games I am currently playing are as follows:

Oh yeah, I got this faceplam worthy crit on my vgames_lims entry last week.

This is the facepalm worthy portion of the crit (the rest of the crit was fine and helpful): In addition, you can see a border on the top and right side of the icon. Since it's not present on the other two sides I'm lead to believe it's a mistake and as a result, just looks sloppy.

Hi everyone. I'm in need of a little advice from the many talented minds here. :)

About a month ago, I bought one of those gorgeous Lochaven Slytherin sweaters. It fit beautifully, and is one of the most comfortable sweaters I own. But I started dieting that same week, and have since lost about 20 pounds and am still losing. I went to get dressed up for the premier, and the sweater is almost too baggy. I'm afraid that by the time Dragon*Con rolls around, I won't be able to wear it.

Where I'm going with this very long-winded explanation - any suggestions or tips for alteration?

Some one stole my debit card number. So now I'm sitting on the phone with Washington Mutual (who is a mess since they just got bought by CHASE) explaining to them that the 6 charges for $63 each for UPS are NOT mine.

Damn this day.

OH goodie... I have to wait 10 days to get a new card.

As usual, my curse is following me...

My landlord just called to say he is moving back into this house by.... AUGUST 24th!!

Let's put this into perspective, THINGS I HAVE TO DO THIS SUMMER:

- Launch Blue Mug Productions Website
- Go to Comic Con
- Take a pig to the Ventura County Fair and camp out there for a week
- Come back from fair and host The Gathering of the Gargoyles which will be our LAST and probably BIGGEST guest turn out for this convention.

... did I mention the convention ends AUGUST 24TH???

Hey guys!!

This is my first post here, but I've been a long-time watcher. And I've gotta say, I love all the posts! It brings out the inner craft-lover in me!

I did have a question, though. It's nearing the school year, and I've found myself in a bit of a financial bind. (have to pay for rent all of a sudden, plus books, plus food, plus phone, plus AHHHH!!!!)

So I'm thinking of putting my knitting talents to use. I've been knitting since high school and have recently improved my skills a TON. I can knit scarves, hats, bags, and anything else I can find decent instructions for. And my favorite thing to knit (of course) is Harry Potter-related things.

So I was considering offering my services to you. My questions are:

Would you pay for hand-knit crafts?
How much would you be willing to pay?

These are GREAT things to have for winter (and with fall approaching, even better!) and make for amazing gifts! (All of my friends have LOVED the things I've made for them.

My sister and I decided really at the last minute to go to the midnight screening of Half-Blood Prince in Auburn, Indiana, about 15 miles from our home. I wanted to dress up, but neither of us wanted to wear our Bellatrix and Narcissa costumes in summer. And for me, wearing that wig is torture enough in the chill winds of October!

So I literally put something together for both of us in 10 minutes.

He is maybe on the old side for the role; I imagine Weasel as a wee bit younger, and if there are sequels he will probably be graying intensely, but I still think he'd be ideal.
